Title:
Three Dimensional Quantum Gravity II
Abstract:

We discuss the quantization of three dimensional gravity. When the cosmological constant is negative the theory can be attacked using standard techniques of geometric quantization; this gives a geometric interpretation for all of the states in the theory, including the microstates of the BTZ black hole. When the cosmological constant is positive the partition function can still be computed exactly, including all quantum corrections, though the interpretation is more mysterious.
