Title:
Are there classical de Sitter vacua in string theory?
Abstract:

I summarize some recent attempts to construct metastable de Sitter vacua or models of slow-roll inflation within tree-level type II
compactifications with various types of branes, orientifold planes and fluxes. The role of different forms of "no-go theorems" as well as possible routes towards their circumvention are discussed.
