Title:
A fundamental problem in low mass galaxy evolution
Abstract:

Recent studies have found a dramatic difference in the properties of low mass galaxies when comparing models and observations. Observed galaxies
experience significant late growth, in contrast to what is expected in models and in contrast to the evolution of their host dark matter haloes.
This indicates that there needs to be a process suppressing galaxy formation in low mass haloes at early times. I will discuss evidence for this substantial problems and potential ways to resolve it.
