Polymer Quantum Mechanics
Abstract: 

In the polymeric representation, the space-time is discrete. This representation is not equivalent to the Schrödinger representation because it violates one of the assumptions of the Stone-von Neumann theorem but it is possible to define coordinate and momentum operators and to derive a Hilbert physical space for systems under constrains. In this work, we follow Feynman procedure to obtain a path integral formulation of one-dimensional polymer quantum systems: the non-relativistic free particle, the harmonic oscillator and cosmology. It turns out useful for the analysis to consider the phase space to obtain the solutions of the effective action
