The phase‐space geometry of the Cosmic Web

The Cosmic Web is the largest known structure in the Universe, its intricate pa ern an imprint from the  niest perturba ons born in the first nano seconds of infla on, evolved by the physics of gravity and dark ma er in the following billions of years. We will discuss the geometry and dynamics of this pa ern in the framework of Eulerian and Lagrangian perspec ves on the dark ma er fluid. This novel way of represen ng the six dimensional phase‐space structure of the system gives us new insight in the physical processes that govern structure forma on and teaches us new methods of studying N‐body experiments. As icing on the cake you will learn the origin of the background image on the symposium poster!
