Inflation, Dark Energy and Supersymmetry Breaking
Abstract: 

We present a simple unified description of inflation and the current acceleration of the Universe in the context of supergravity. The most economical models employ just one superfield and allow for a fully working physical scenario; however, despite the tiny value of the actual cosmological constant, the supersymmetry breaking scale at the minimum is generally very high. We illustrate such a result as a direct consequence of a recent no-go theorem. We overcome this issue by adding a nilpotent superfield which lead to a general class of models with arbitrary inflaton potential and controllable level of dark energy and supersymmetry breaking.
