Title:
QCD in extreme conditions
Abstract:

What happens to strongly interacting matter as one heats it up to extremely high temperatures or squeeze it to densities several times that of ordinary nuclear density? This question is relevant since such extreme conditions existed in the early universe, can be created in accelerators, or can be found in the interior of compact stars. I will discuss the behaviour of strongly interacting matter in extreme conditions and take you on a guided tour into the phase diagram of QCD.
